I headed south this past weekend for my first trip to Atlanta and to the third annual BlogHer Food conference. It was a weekend full of introductions, reconnections, and of course, endless food. I had the chance to catch up with old friends, finally talk to the people behind some of my favorite blogs, and meet a whole new group of incredibly talented writers, photographers, stylists and chefs.
I also had the opportunity to speak on behalf of Gourmet Live on a panel about bringing blog content to mobile devices. I learned so much during the two-day event about every facet of the food blogosphere and am already counting down to next year’s conference. But it wouldn’t have been a complete trip without having the chance to sample the city’s cuisine. And so I broke out the camera, threw caution (and pants without spandex) to the wind, and hit the streets with my fellow bloggers in search of the best ‘cue, the sweetest snacks and anything else deep-fried, dredged in powdered sugar or just generally edible in nature.
The result? Chance encounters with some of the nicest people I have ever met, and a stomach full of pulled pork, brisket, lemonade, cheesecake, roasted corn, chocolate chip cookies, eggrolls and popsicles. Dig in to the photos after the jump for a taste of the action.
