5-Ingredient Pizza Dip

Ditch the crust and grab your favorite pizza toppings for the best Pizza Dip recipe that can be made with cottage cheese or cream cheese. This deliciously cheesy appetizer is perfect for gameday, parties or anytime you're craving comfort food.

Ingredients  

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasonings
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • Pizza toppings of choice
  • Toasts or veggies, for serving

Instructions 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  • Add the cottage cheese to the bowl of a food processor and blend until creamy.
  • Add the blended cottage cheese to a bowl then stir in 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese and Italian seasonings.
  • Spread the cottage cheese on the bottom of a 9-inch skillet or ovenproof baking dish.
  • Spread the marinara on top of the cottage cheese mixture then top it with the remaining 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese and your pizza toppings of choice.
  • Bake the dip until the cheese is melted,10 to 12 minutes, then switch the oven to “broil” and broil until the cheese turns golden brown, about 2 minutes. Serve immediately with toasts or veggies for dipping.

Notes

  • You don’t have to blend the cottage cheese, but I prefer the smoother texture and find it’s better for dipping.
  • You can make this recipe in one large baking dish or in individual baking dishes. 
  • While the dip is best when freshly baked, you can prepare the components in advance and assemble just before baking for a quicker turnaround on the day you plan to serve it.
  • Pizza dip is best enjoyed hot out of the oven. It's at its peak of cheesy deliciousness when served immediately.
