Floating eyeballs, bloody-red spider ice cubes and fizzy lemonade make this easy Halloween punch the ultimate party drink. Make it kid-friendly without alcohol or spike it with your favorite liquor for the adults.
In a liquid measuring cup, stir together lemonade and grenadine until it reaches your desired color.
Pour the mixture into the spider molds and freeze them until solid, a minimum of 2 hours.
Make the punch:
In a punch bowl, combine the lemonade, lemon-lime soda and vodka (optional).
Unmold the frozen spiders, then add them and the plastic eyeballs to the punch bowl and serve.
Notes
Ice molds: Spider ice molds will vary in size, so the quantity of lemonade/grenadine will depend on your specific mold. Mix enough of the two liquids to create a bright red color.
Make ahead: The spider ice cubes can be made up to 3 days in advance. Once frozen solid, unmold them and transfer them to a sealable freezer bag to help prevent freezer burn and keep them from absorbing freezer odors. Keep frozen until ready to serve.
Keep it cold: Make sure the lemonade and lemon-lime soda are well chilled before mixing the punch. Starting with cold ingredients helps the frozen spiders melt more slowly.
With or without alcohol: Leave out the vodka for a family-friendly Halloween punch. If you're serving both kids and adults, keep the punch bowl alcohol-free and let the grown-ups add their favorite liquor to individual glasses.
