How to Make Flavored Cream Cheese

Ingredients  

Base

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, at room temp

Flavor (choose one)

Smoked Salmon

  • 6 ounce 6 oz. smoked salmon, flaked
  • 2 Tablespoons chopped fresh chives
  • 2 Tablespoons chopped fresh dill

Bacon-Scallion

  • 1 cup chopped cooked bacon
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced scallions
  • 1/2 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced (optional)

Garlic Herb

  • 1/3 cup finely diced cucumber
  • 2 Tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 Tablespoons chopped fresh tarragon
  • 2 Tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 Tablespoons chopped fresh chives
  • 2 Tablespoons chopped fresh dill
  • 1 Tablespoon grated lemon zest

Instructions 

  • In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  • Choose your cream cheese flavor and add all the ingredients to the bowl. Stir until everything’s well combined.
  • Serve immediately or chill for at least an hour to let the flavors intensify.

Notes

  • Most flavored cream cheeses will last for up to 5 days when stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
