Ingredients
1Tablespoonwhite sesame seeds
1Tablespoonblack sesame seeds
1Tablespoondried minced garlic
1Tablespoondried minced onion
2teaspoonspoppy seeds
1teaspoonflaky sea salt
Instructions
In a small bowl, stir together the white sesame seeds, black sesame seeds, garlic, onion, poppy seeds and salt.
Use immediately or store in an air-tight container for up to 6 months.
Notes
I recommend flaky sea salt (like Maldon) for the best texture and flavor. Avoid table or kosher salt—they’ll make the mix too salty.
No black sesame seeds? No problem. Just double the white sesame seeds.
Don’t sub garlic or onion powder! You want the texture from the dried minced versions for that signature crunch.
