Wait! Don’t go! If you’re thinking this is some cruel joke attempting to ruin your beloved guacamole, I assure you it is not. In fact, this simple recipe is about to forever change your guacamole-making ways. Allow me to introduce you to the healthiest guac to ever hit your lips (and chips): Creamy Greek Yogurt Guacamole.

This culinary coupling was dreamt up by my friend Rachel (of Leftover Stuffing Waffles fame), who one day casually mentioned how yogurt could lend creaminess and added health benefits (hello, protein!) to everyone’s favorite dip. I must admit, I was skeptical at first. But this is one of those “you just have to try it to believe it” recipes. My guac will never go yogurt-less again!

  1. 4 stars
Makes a very creamy guacamole. I did not have tomatoes so I added some chunky salsa. Quick and easy and flavorful. The yogurt adds to the flavor and makes it creamy.

  2. i just wanted to learn how to cook different recipes for my family. hope you can help me, thank you.

      1. Froze it into 8 portions. Thawed 1 in fridge overnight. Gave it a stir just prior to putting it onto nachos. Tasted perfect. Thankyou for such a simple yet tasty recipe!!

  3. I tried this last night and it came out GREAT! Thank you for this lovely recipe :)
I will definitely be adding this to my favorites

  4. I leave the avocado pit in my guacamole after mixing, it really keeps your guac from turning brown.

  5. Not sure what I did wrong but after I let it chill it turned brown. It tasted great just not visually appealing. Would like to make again. Any thoughts?

    1. Hi Melissa! All guacamole will turn brown on top if not stored correctly. If you refrigerate it, you can prevent browning by squeezing a lime on top then placing plastic wrap securely against the surface.

  6. I have a ton Greek yogurt in my fridge right now, just waiting to be put in yummy stuff! This sounds like just the ticket!

  7. On the off chance that any of this lusciousness is left over, put that plastic wrap directly onto the guacamole so no air can touch it! This really really works!

  8. I couldn’t agree more about the protein in Greek yogurt- it’s unreal how much is in there! I love this recipe Kelly and creamy guac just sounds so good right now. As if I didn’t have enough yesterday :) p.s. those chips look really good!

  9. There hasn’t been a guacamole I didn’t like. I will definitely be interested in trying this out for our next fajita night! ;)

  10. I love this greek yogurt and this guacamole recipe is right up my street. Can’t wait to try this recipe. Pinned!!
