Just a Taste Turns 4!

Just a Taste Turns 4

Four years ago this month, I launched Just a Taste as a way to catalog and share my family’s recipes. Now, 288 posts, 2,584 comments, 30 newsletters and one book later, the blog has transformed from a casual hobby into a career (and a serious caloric love affair). It has been an absolute pleasure and joy to become a part of the expansive food blogging community, both online and in person, and I am so thankful for each and every one of you who visits the site and shares the content I create entirely out of my passion and love for food.

To celebrate the 4-year anniversary of Just a Taste, I’ve teamed up with KitchenAid, who has generously offered to give one lucky reader a 5-quart stand mixer (color of your choice!). Some of my earliest childhood memories revolve around my mom’s giant white stand mixer, which has churned out countless batches of Monster Cookies and cupcakes over the past two decades.

  165. My kids and I made your Pepperoni Pizza Pull Apart Bread last weekend, but since I don’t have a stand mixer, I couldn’t make the dough as you instructed. We used store-bought dough and it still turned out great, but as we were eating it, I said to my husband, “If only I had a Kitchenaid stand mixer! Then I could make this the ‘right’ way!” If I win the mixer, that’s what I will make first!

  180. If I were to win this wonderful Kitchenaid Mixer I would make your Espresso Chocolate Chip Brownie Cookies. I plan to make them anyway with my Grandmother’s Sunbeam hand mixer. That’s all I have at this time, but each time I use it she is right there with me.

  200. Because it’s fall – salted caramel apple hand pies! I’ve had my eye on these since you posted that recipe ;-)

  201. I would mix up the dough for pepperoni pizza pull-apart bread. Then again, making it by hand would counteract some of the caloric destruction looming within that delicious dish. But who am I kidding? Only my grandmother is strong enough to make dough by hand. My little arms need a mixer.
