Skip the store-bought snacks in favor of a quick and easy recipe for Orange and Honey Granola Parfaits.
When it comes to the morning mad dash around our house, breakfast is almost always some form of granola. Whether it’s homemade chocolate chip granola bars for the boys, or a towering bowl-o-oats loaded with milk or yogurt for my husband and me. No matter how you serve it, granola has many a fan in our house.
The beauty of homemade granola is that it’s a fraction of the cost of the store-bought alternative, and it can be customized with your choice of nuts, dried fruits or other mix-ins (read: coconut).
So when it came time to dream up my latest creation for the Florida’s Natural® Brunch Club (proud 6-year member here!), I knew Orange and Honey Granola Parfaits would be a welcome addition to the breakfast table.
Homemade granola can be as simple or as flavor-packed as your heart desires. But there’s one not-so-secret ingredient that’s always a must in my granola: orange juice.
Florida’s Natural Brand Orange Juice lends a citrusy tang and a burst of flavor to the oats, all thanks to the fact that it’s made with one single ingredient: Florida oranges!
The orange juice also adds an important element for texture: moisture. The oats and nuts soak up the orange juice then go for a long bake in the oven. As they roast, the flavor concentrates, and the result is crunchy, toasted DIY granola that will give any store-bought bag a run for its money.
All that’s left to do is pair the granola with milk, yogurt or fruit, or simply serve it up as an on-the-go snack.
To keep the Brunch Club party rollin’, don’t miss two more of my go-to recipes for light and airy Orange Ricotta Chocolate Chip Pancakes and Fruit Salad with Orange Poppy Seed Dressing. Together these three tasty recipes—parfaits, pancakes and fruit salad—would make the perfect brunch spread for any occasion. (With mimosas, of course!)

- 3/4 cup sliced almonds
- 3/4 cup shelled pistachios, roughly chopped
- 1 cup sweetened flaked coconut
- 1/2 cup honey

- 1/4 cup Florida's Natural Orange Juice
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 cup raisins
- Yogurt and fruit, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Add the oats, almonds and pistachios to the baking sheet. Stir the ingredients together then spread them into an even layer. Bake for 10 minutes, stirring halfway through, then remove the baking sheet from the oven and transfer the oats and nuts to a large bowl.
- Stir in the flaked coconut.
- In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the honey, coconut oil, orange juice, cinnamon, ginger and salt.
- Pour the honey mixture over the oat mixture and toss until well-combined.
- Return the granola to the lined baking sheet, spreading it into an even layer.
- Bake the granola for 25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until it is golden brown, then turn off the oven and leave the baking sheet in the oven for an additional 10 minutes.
- Remove the granola from the oven, stir it one more time then let it cool completely on the baking sheet. (It will crisp as it cools.)
- Once the granola has cooled, stir in the dried fruit and serve or store the granola in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
