Table of Contents
Four ingredients and five minutes. Add a homemade waffle cone to the equation and you should go ahead and alert your local ice cream shop that there’s a new dairy queen in town. She’s lean, she’s mean and she doesn’t require an ice cream machine. Behold, 5-Minute Healthy Strawberry Frozen Yogurt.
Let’s face it. It’s about to be bathing suit season. And with bathing suit season comes an entire Internet’s worth of lightened up this and 100-calorie that.
While your stash of healthy salad recipes may be booming, chances are it’s slim pickins’ in the healthy desserts department.
Now you can skip the ice cream maker, skip the added sugar and spend five minutes food processing your way to the easiest, creamiest homemade strawberry frozen yogurt to ever cross your lips.
- Frozen strawberries: Using frozen fruit helps to create a creamy, ice cream-like texture without the need for an ice cream maker.
- Honey, agave nectar or maple syrup: Depending on how sweet you like your frozen yogurt, you can add as much or as little sweetener as you like.
- Plain yogurt: Greek or regular.
- Fresh lemon juice: This adds a touch of tang and acidity. It’s purely just for taste so feel free to omit it if you don’t have any lemons on hand.
See the recipe card for full information on ingredients and quantities.
How to Make Frozen Yogurt without an Ice Cream Maker
Making homemade strawberry frozen yogurt is incredibly easy, but having the right equipment makes a difference. For the creamiest results, I recommend using a food processor or a high-powered blender like a Vitamix or Ninja.
Add 4 cups of frozen strawberries, along with the yogurt, lemon juice and honey to your food processor. Blend on high for a full 5 minutes. If you’re using a blender you may need to stop and scrape down the sides a few times to ensure everything is well incorporated.
For soft-serve consistency, serve the froyo immediately. If you prefer a firmer texture, transfer the mixture to an airtight container and freeze for about 2-3 hours.
Let’s Chat Yogurt for Your Homemade Froyo
For the creamiest and richest results, I recommend using full-fat yogurt. However, any variety can be used, from regular to Greek, and in any flavor you prefer. You can even use dairy-free yogurt for a vegan-friendly version.
Greek yogurt will give you a thicker texture, while regular yogurt results in a lighter, thinner consistency. Feel free to experiment with flavored yogurts to add an extra dimension of taste to your healthy frozen treat.
Got leftovers? You can store your frozen fruit yogurt in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 month.
It will freeze solid but don’t worry, just leave it out on your counter for a few minutes to soften up before scooping.
Whether you’re scooping it straight from the blender for that creamy soft-serve feel or popping it in the freezer for a firmer chill, this healthy homemade strawberry frozen yogurt is a real treat. Feeling fancy? Toss in some chocolate chips.

- 1/2 cup plain yogurt (non-fat or full fat)

- Add the frozen strawberries, agave nectar (or honey), yogurt and lemon juice to the bowl of a food processor. Process until creamy, about 5 minutes.
- Serve the frozen yogurt immediately or transfer it to an airtight container and store it in the freezer for up to 1 month.
Kelly’s Notes
- I prefer a more tart frozen yogurt, but you can add additional agave nectar or honey if you want a sweeter-tasting dessert.
- Regular or Greek yogurt of any flavor can be used in this recipe.
- Fresh strawberries can be used in place of frozen, however the fresh strawberries must be frozen solid.
- Freezing: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 month. It will freeze solid but don’t worry, just leave it out on your counter for a few minutes to soften up before scooping.

So good! Can you please link the food processor ?
It’s an old version from KitchenAid!
can you do this in a ninja bullet instead of a food processor?
That should work, Jeanette!
Can I use fresh fruit instead of frozen?
It’ll need to be frozen first before being used in this recipe!
This is an easy and healthy recipe. I make up a batch and freeze individual portions to use as a quick, easy and healthy dessert or snack.

Can no you use plain Greek yogurt in this recipe?

This is the best dessert recipe ever! I have such a sweet tooth and this perfectly satisfies my cravings. Hi Kelly,
If I wanted to incorporate Nutella or Peanut Butter, what frozen fruit do you recommend?
Strawberry with Nutella or peanut butter with banana!
amazing
I never comment on recipes, but this was amazing. Highly recommend. I used non fat yogurt and it turned out incredibly creamy and delicious. If you’re wondering if it is worth it to make it, it is!
Thanks so much for taking the time to comment! I’m thrilled you enjoyed the recipe!
Hi! I loved this recipe! May I know if I can freeze the remaining frozen yogurt or won’t it be good to eat it out from the freezer?
I’m so glad you enjoyed the frozen yogurt, Anthea! You can store leftovers in an airtight container in your freezer. It’ll freeze solid so remove it for a bit prior to scooping and it’ll soften up.
I just read about your frozen strawberry delight!! I read a question listed below, can Nutella be incorporated in with the strawberries, how much would I use
Absolutely! You can swirl in as much as you like once the froyo is mostly blended. It will definitely change the color!
Love it – I added some protein powder, flax and chia seeds for a little extra nutrition. Thanks so much!
So glad you enjoyed the recipe, Steph!
So fresh and delicious! Thank you Kelly for another excellent recipe…. and a quick one!

Very easy to make. It was a bit tart so I added some pineapple juice and banana. I made a second batch using a 5.3oz Oikos Triple Zero vanilla yogurt. This one was much sweeter!
I’m so thrilled you’ve been enjoying the recipe, Amy!
Terrific and my whole family loved it! Easy to make although I split the ingredients into two portions for the food processor to blend the frozen whole strawberries faster due to their large size.
I’m so happy your family enjoyed the recipe, DK!
Best Frozen Yogurt EVER!!
I’m thrilled you enjoyed the recipe, Zoe!
Love it! I made a mango version with coconut yogurt, as well as a raspberry version. Looking forward to trying different varieties of fruit and yogurt!
YUM! Love the idea of using coconut yogurt, Wendy!
What food processor did you use?
Hi there! I have a Cuisinart food processor that I love.
I went to print the recipe for 1 person and this is what I saw:
0.13 cup plain yogurt.
How much is this? Or am I supposed to use a scale?
Hi there! This recipe wouldn’t work very well if scaled down that small, as the minimal amount of ingredients won’t be enough to blend in a food processor.
delicious & healthier! We have always chopped up & frozen our over-ripe banana’s, they taste just like banana ice-cream…recently we’ve found many uses for cooking chocolate, just melt it in microwave for afew seconds & enjoy with yr frozen yoghurt recipe (my favourite is rasberry & strawberry so far…) with cereals, dried fruit & nuts too…You’ve opened a great new healthier chapter for us, thanx!!! Sarah & Ben
I’m so happy to read this, Sarah and Ben! :)
Absolutely Amazing ! When it is ready try it with maple syrup
I’m so glad you enjoyed the recipe, Emile!
Can you use vanilla yogurt instead of plain yogurt and use less honey.
Absolutely!
My food processor does not have plastic paddles, just metal blade. Is this ok to use and 5 minutes on low or high?? Want to check before I go any further with the recipe.
Yes! I use the metal blade all the time on mine.
Can i make chocolate ice cream with Greek Yogurt?
I’ve never tried that so I’m not sure!
Yes you can
I have made 1/2 recipe twice; once with frozen strawberries and tonight with frozen strawberries and bananas. My husband and I loved it. We think we like the strawberry banana best. Next week we’ll try peach.
YUM! I’m thrilled you and your husband have been enjoying the recipe, Nancy!
Made this recipe for a friend that is in a soft food diet for a few weeks. It was so good, I made myself a batch too!!
I’m thrilled you enjoyed the recipe, Scooter!
Can I use fresh strawberries and ice instead? I don’t have time to freeze them!
Hi Elisha – I’ve never made this recipe with ice, so I can’t say with certainty how the texture will be affected but my guess is that it won’t be very creamy.
Fantastic.Saved me wasting money on an ice cream machine.
Thankyou
You are so welcome, Maureen! I’m thrilled you enjoyed the recipe!
I have greek yogurt that the Best before date is May 18 2021. Will this recipe still last the month when frozen?
Hi Lori – I wouldn’t recommend using yogurt that’s a month past the expiration date.
As I don’t like yogurt, THIS IS DELICIOUS FOR ME!!! I hate yogurt and this is great. I only had 2 cups frozen straw. and not 4. Definitely 5 stars.
I’m thrilled you enjoyed the recipe!
Does Greek yogurt work for this recipe?
Absolutely!
Following the exact ratios for the strawberry version, I make a mango frozen yogurt and swirl them together. Wonderful flavor and texture with intense and vibrant colors that are natural. Served it at a church picnic and once people tried it, they came back for seconds. I personally like this frozen yogurt over ice cream. I make this recipe multiple times over every summer since I first discovered it.
Love reading this, Kim! I’m thrilled you’ve been enjoying the recipe!
I wish you would have added nutrition so I could know the carb count
Hi Teresa! You can find the estimated nutritional info by clicking on the purple button below the recipe that says ESTIMATED NUTRITION INFORMATION. :)
At my school we are designing healthy lunch boxes and this is exactly what I need- healthy, easy and delicious!! Also do mixed frozen blackberries, raspberries and blueberries work??
Awesome! Yes, all of those berries will work, too!
Hi! I was wondering about using some herbs in the froyo, specifically mint, but there’s no ideas so far about the ratios, or when to add them. Do you have any ideas/suggestions about how to use them?
Definitely! You can add 2 or 3 mint leaves with everything else. Yum!
Hey there! I love the sound of this recipe. I love to make smoothies! I made this w/ oranges and mango yogurt and it was amazing! I also used a Vitamix instead of a food processor. We’re going camping in a couple of hours. This will be made on our trip
Woohoo! Enjoy!
SO YUMMY! I’m 11 and I have been trying out a ton of new recipes during quarantine. This one is SO GOOD!!! I halved the recipe because i just wanted a little treat and both me and my dad loved it! The big strawberry chunks take a bit of work to blend up but other than that, Fantastic!!!
Love reading this, Cora! I’m so thrilled you and your dad enjoyed the recipe!
So easy and yummy. I used agave because I had no liquid honey but I think I will try honey next time. Made it with frozen mango and can only imagine how good it will be on a hot summer day!
Awesome! I’m so glad you enjoyed the recipe, Margo!
Fast , creamy, Loved it. Going to making it alot
I do have a question
how to keep it creamy after freezing it so it is not so hard to scoop out of container
Hi Jeri – The frozen yogurt will freeze solid but if you remove it for a bit prior to scooping, it’ll soften back up. :)
This is so easy, my toddler made it and she approved it. Delicious!!
I’m so thrilled to read this, Natasha!
Would I be able to use plain Greek yogurt instead?
Absolutely!
Hi! I made this last night and I loved it. It felt more like a smoothie than frozen yogurt though… How would you make this thicker?
Were your strawberries frozen solid? You could also place it in the freezer to let it firm up more. :)
So quick to make and healthy. Thank you so much for sharing.
You are so welcome, Grace! I’m thrilled you enjoyed the recipe.
This one’s a keeper! It tastes so good, very summery. I’m gonna try it with mango next! :)
I’m thrilled you enjoyed the recipe, Rachel!
Hi there I would like to try this recipe but do not have a food processor and my magic bullet seems to be too small for 4 cups of strawberries. I’m wondering if I could use an electric mixer if that would work?
Hi Dee! You’ll definitely need a food processor or a high-powered blender for this recipe.
If you want to make vanilla with just chocolate chips, how do you make it to put in freezer?
Hi Tana – I think you may be interested in my No-Churn Vanilla Ice Cream recipe: https://www.justataste.com/no-churn-vanilla-ice-cream-recipe/
Hi! Do you have to use the lemon? Or is it just to add a little tartness? Wanting to make it NOW but don’t have any lemons lol And don’t want to go to the store. Thanks!
Purely just for taste so feel free to omit it!
This recipe is so easy and so delicious!!!! I made it with frozen mango and it was superb! It’s very refreshing on a hot day and so, so quick to make! Thank you for all your excellent recipes and for sharing them for free with the world!!!
N.B. I used maple sirup instead of agave nectar or honey.
Woohoo! I’m so thrilled you enjoyed the recipe, Yolande!
This looks delicious, easy and healthy. I am looking forward to preparing this. Kelly, how many servings does this recipe make @ 100 calories per serving?
Hi Susan – This recipe yields 4 servings.
I have been missing my ice cream as I wait for a gallbladder operation. However, now I have found the perfect answer.
Absolutely wonderful, easy to make, even easier to eat
I’m so glad you’ve been able to enjoy this recipe, Mike! Best of luck with your surgery.
Thank you for the great idea! It’s supposed to hit 106 today in central Texas. Perfect afternoon treat.
Yikes! Stay cool and I hope you enjoy the frozen yogurt, Rachel!
Oh my, YUM! Hard to believe something so simple could be so good. Kiddos and I loved it! I am planning to make this again and again! Only change I will make is to pre-slice the strawberries before freezing to help my blender out a little bit. Thank you!
I’m so glad you and your family enjoyed the recipe, Michelle!
What more can I post. Absolutely splendid!
Woohoo! I’m so thrilled you enjoyed the recipe, John!
does this have to be made with plain yogurt? could i use a strawberry yogurt?
Absolutely! Any flavor will work, Danielle!
Just made this and it is absolutely yummy!!! I’m hooked! Thank you!
You are so welcome, Debbie! I’m thrilled you enjoyed the recipe!
I totally needed 15 minutes as it took 10 to get all of the strawberries down to the blades… did the extra 5 for the smooth quality. (Using a Kitchen said Processor) It was amazing!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much for the recipe! We will definitely be using this again for a healthy alternative!
I’m so glad you enjoyed the recipe, Susan!
Hi!
I made this and it’s delicious. It’s day 2 and it’s rock solid now. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?
Thanks!
Hi Diana – The frozen yogurt will freeze solid but if you remove it for a bit prior to scooping, it’ll soften back up. :)
i was so confused and laughed so much when i saw the Chorestrol-omg.
i thought you said OMG at first then i understood it.
also i love this recipe so much me and my family allways make it now!
Hi can I storage this in the freezer
Hi Rebecca! Yes, you can store it in an airtight container in your freezer. It’ll freeze solid so remove it for a bit prior to scooping and it’ll soften up.
I can’t see any seeds in your final product – did they disappear when blended?
Hi Jennifer! If you have a food processor (or blender) with a sharp blade and powerful motor, many of the seeds will be pulverized. :)
I made this dessert for after supper today and was extremely pleasantly surprised at how yummy it was.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it, Elsa!
My family absolutely loved this recipe!! My kids liked it better than ice cream! Very tasty and refreshing!
I’m so thrilled to hear this, Amanda!
Wonder if I could use Cashew Yogurt?
Sure!
Will it be alright if I use non-dairy yogurt instead? I have a couple of vegan friends coming over and thought this would be a delicious treat, while still being healthy.
Absolutely!
Could I replace the yogurt with non-dairy yogurt to make this delicious-looking recipe vegan?
Sure!
Hey there! I loved this recipe- it definitely satisfied my sweet cravings. However, mine came out very runny as opposed to thick- any suggestions on how to make it more thick and creamy?
Hi Ashtyn! Were your strawberries frozen solid? You could also place it in the freezer to let it firm up more.
What would be the taste difference in regular plain yogurt and plain Greek yogurt?
Hi there! Greek yogurt is slightly tangier than regular yogurt.
This is the perfect summer treat to satisfy my cravings for ice cream without bringing out the Ben and Jerry’s!!!
YES! I’m so thrilled you enjoyed the recipe!
My kiddos look forward to spring because that means one thing – strawberry picking season! I’ve been making your homemade strawberry froyo for the past two years; my kiddos beg me for it year round, so I make multiple batches to store in our deep freeze. We just went strawberry picking and brought home 3 gallons – of course strawberry froyo will be made!
Love this! I’m so thrilled you and your family have been enjoying the recipe for so long!
Can I ask why you used the lemon juice?
Hi Barbara – Simply for flavor, so feel free to leave it out!
This recipe just changed my life! I used frozen raspberries instead of strawberries and I couldn’t get my jar of honey open so I used 4 tsp raw sugar in place of the honey. I also added 1 T chocolate chips at the very end and blended them in so they were chopped up. I put it all in a chocolate waffle cone and it was heaven! I didn’t have to go through the hassle of putting it in the ice cream maker and then trying to scrape it all out because it is frozen to the sides or let it freeze before eating it. I will be making this several times a week!
I’m so thrilled you enjoyed the recipe, Susan! Raspberries and chocolate is one of my all-time fave combos!
I’m sorry this is a dumb question… but I am new to using a food processor Which blade do I use to make this? I’m excited to try it!
Not a dumb question at all, Justine! You’ll want to use the s-shaped blade.
Tried it tonight using frozen strawberries, whole milk yogurt, honey and lemon juice. I added a wee bit more lemon juice and threw in a few blueberries too. It is delicious! Thanks!
I’m thrilled you enjoyed the recipe, Lisa!
I love this recipe! I make this and store it in small containers that I can throw in my lunch. I have a sweet that is healthier than a small candy bar and because I keep the small containers in the freezer they thaw in time for my lunch and are still fresh!
So glad you’re enjoying it, Maureen!
I am so excited to try this!! Have been a fan of Dairy Queen blizzards in the past but not anymore. Eating healthy Whole Foods that I can make for myself and hubby are the new thing. Thank you for sharing this discovery. Going to try it today!!
Enjoy!
Love yogurt will definitely try recipe…..thanks for sharing
You are so welcome, enjoy!
Can you add maple syrup?
Sure!
It’s so good I’m making it for a potluck!!!!
Thanks for the delicious and healthy recipe:)
You are so welcome, Dylan! I’m thrilled you enjoyed it!
Will try this later..it looks delicious!
Enjoy!
To make ahead, do I store in frig or freezer?
Many thanks
Freezer! It’ll freeze solid so remove it for a bit prior to scooping and it’ll soften up.
Could you Substitute the plain yogurt for strawberry yogurt?
Absolutely!
Can I make the recipe with strawberry yogurt instead of plain yogurt?
Yes! That would be delicious!
Could you substitute Greek yogurt?
Absolutely!
Allergy to citrus. What can I use in place of lemon? Di
You can just leave it out!
Yummy
I just made this and I’m eating it as I type! It’s SO GOOD! I have a huge sweet tooth but I try to stay healthy, and this satisfied me. I have a Ninja Blender, so I tried it on the Purée setting. I had to stop a few times and stir and I ended up adding a dash of almond milk to get the blender to do its job. It turned out a bit more liquid than I wanted. Even though it isn’t the correct consistency, it tastes so good and I’m definitely saving this recipe for future sugar cravings!
Thanks so much for your comment, Jax! I’m thrilled you enjoyed the recipe!
Do you have a dairy free recipe for your healthy frozen desert?
Any type of dairy-free yogurt works!
Just starting on this low-carb journey. I was wanting something sweet and came upon this recipe. I went grocery shopping earlier for a bunch of things, but plain greek yogurt wasn’t on my list. I was bummed, it’s NYE and everything is closed, then I remembered, I bought almond milk. So I made it as a smoothie!
I used 1 cup almond milk, a few tablespoon homemade whipped cream, 1 packet of stevia, a few drops vanilla extract, 1/2 tsp lemon juice and 3 frozen strawberries. It was AWESOME!!! Thank you for the inspiration. I added plain greek yogurt to my shopping list.
You are so welcome, Gabi!
thanks so much! beautiful recipe!
any tips to keep it from melting when serving it?
I’m so glad you enjoyed the recipe!
I haven’t tried this recipe yet, but plan to. I’m diabetic so cannot use the honey/agave. Sugar levels are way too high for diabetics. Carb levels are about 1/2 of 1 days requirements for diabetics. I’m not a big fan of honey anyhow, so I love it tart. The strawberries will have loads of natural sugars and the tartness will come from the yogurt and lemon juice. I’m looking forward to trying it.
I hope you enjoy the recipe, Cathy!
Just made this tonight for a small dinner party & it was a huge success! I used fresh strawberries I’d frozen overnight, Greek yogurt, & agave exactly to the recipe for amounts. I have a large Ninja blender which usually is wonderful with making frozen goodies, but I found this a little more difficult than you described. Had to stir everything quite a few times before it began to blend it all, so it took more like 15 minutes to make. But the end product was yummy! When I make it next I’d add double the yogurt because this tasted more like a sorbet. I’m eager to try different fruit as well. Thanks for the recipe
I’m thrilled you enjoyed the recipe, MaryKaye!
I love all the recipes I got from you. But do you have a recipe for Italian eggplant.
Hi Ruby! Here is a link to all of my eggplant recipes: https://www.justataste.com/?s=eggplant I’m so glad you’ve been enjoying Just a Taste!
This is an incredible recipe. Also, can you make it with 2% Greek Yogurt. Thank you so much.
Greek yogurt works great!
This was so easy and it really hit the spot!
Woohoo! So glad you enjoyed it, Christina!
What model processor is that’s?
Hi Kelly – It’s the KitchenAid Pro Line Series Food Processor. It’s a bit pricey but it’s absolutely spectacular and will blend anything!
Excellent low calorie and low fat desert! I had to drastically change my diet after a heart bypass operation and one thing I crave the most (but can’t eat) is ice cream. This is the best alternative! Love it!
I’m so glad to hear you’re enjoying this recipe, William!
Can you use a blender?
Absolutely, Kate! But you’ll want to scrape down the sides as needed. Enjoy!
This is perfect if you’re craving something strawberry without all of the fat of ice cream. So yummy!
I’m thrilled you enjoyed it, Kristi!
I tried it and OMG is amazing everyone in the family loved it. It’s so easy to make.
I’m thrilled to hear this!
I’ve been wanting to try this forever but didn’t have a food processor. This was my first recipe on my new one and YUM! So healthy, yummy, and easy!!!
Awesome! I’m so glad you enjoyed the recipe, Deanna!
Yumm! I’m getting ready to make this now. Do you happen to know if the 5 weight watcher points is updated for the new freestyle program?
Hi Marybeth! I’m not sure, as the calculations are all just based off of their standard program.
Just wanted to stop by and say how much me and my girls love this recipe. We have been making it for a few years now, since my girls put it on their summer bucket list to have ice cream for breakfast. Thank you for a yummy, healthy recipe.
LOVE hearing this, Christine! Thanks so much for your comment!
Do you have to use yogurt or can you use something else? Thanks Hanaan
Hi Hanaan! I’d recommend making another frozen treat recipe that doesn’t include yogurt. Here’s a great roundup of options: https://www.justataste.com/?s=ice+cream
The Strawberry frozen yogurt was absolutely delicious. Very good choice for my diet I only eat a little bit at a time
wouldn’t fresh strawberries be better?
Hi Jeff! Fresh strawberries can be used in place of frozen, however the fresh strawberries must be frozen solid to reach the desired consistency. Hope that helps!
Hi, my favorite is frozen yogurt.
This looks very easy, but I have
One question, can I use vanilla Greek yogurt instead of plain?
Thank you for this fab way to
Feed my sweet tooth and do it
Guilt free.
Absolutely, Deborah! Any flavor Greek yogurt will work with this recipe. Enjoy :)
Amazing! And so simple. I just made this in less than 10 minutes and am enjoying a small bowl right now! Just packed it up in the freezer so I hope to see how it tastes later.
I’m so glad you enjoyed the recipe, Jenny! The frozen yogurt will freeze solid but if you remove it for a bit prior to scooping, it’ll soften back up.
Hi Kelly, can this receipe be stored in freezer and maintain its consistency if not eating straight away.? Thanks Jo
Hi Jo – Absolutely! It can be stored in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a month. It’ll freeze solid but if you remove it for a bit prior to scooping, it’ll soften back up.
My daughter can’t have honey. Can the honey be replaced with stevia?
Sure!
Hi, may I use a blender instead of a food processor?
Absolutely, Carina! You’ll likely just have to scrape down the sides more frequently.
CAN THIS BE SERVED FOR FIVE PEOPLE
Hi Ashley! It totally depends on how much you want to serve each person, however, the recipe can be easily doubled (or made in two batches).
Afternoon Kelly,
This recipe has scored a big #10 with my 2 Disabled Veteran children. They were insatiable “sweet eaters” but with this recipe they are able to have the delicious, fresh fruit yogurt, after dinner (sometimes lunch), which takes care of their need for sweets.
Thank you ever so much & their docs & nutritiousness could not be happier. A big plus, this recipe is so simple!
Thrilled to hear this, Barbara!
I definitely will try this recipe and look forward to getting more of your recipes!
How is 27 grams of carbs low carb?
Hi Damian – I don’t claim this yogurt to be low carb, just a delicious and healthier alternative to the store-bought varieties.
Hey Can I use fresh strawberries instead of frozen ones
Hi Raksha! Frozen fruit is essential in this recipe to reach the desired consistency. Using fresh fruit will result in a less creamy and very thin texture. However, you could freeze the fresh berries before use. Hope that helps!
Hi! Is the weight watcher points updated with their freestyle program?
Hi there! I’m not sure, as the calculations are all just based off of their standard program.
Any hints on how to use a smoothie blender
Hi Donna! A blender should work, you’ll just need to scrape down the sides more frequently. Enjoy!
Could you use coconut milk yogurt?
Sure!
I made a similar recipe that waa very tart, used 1c Greek yogurt and 3 tablespoons of lemon and lemon zest. Does this recipe need lemon? Or should I just add a bit more honey just in case?
Hi Kristine – You can definitely omit the lemon, and feel free to add more honey if you prefer a sweeter yogurt!
Could I freeze this and then let it defrost throughout my school day until lunch?
That should work!
can i use any honey for this recipe?
Absolutely!
Can you do this with Greek yogurt?
Absolutely!
So creamy and refreshing, and totally guilt-free! Thank you for this recipe!
Can I use blender instead of food processor…which I don’t own?
Absolutely! You’ll likely have to scrape down the sides more frequently.
Can I make it without the lemon juice?
Absolutely!
Love the strawberry flavor. Try it with mangoes too. Amazing refreshing pick me up. Ty.
Tastes lovely, but is a lollipop consistency, rock hard. Where did I go wrong. I may have added xtra yoghurt to finish off a tub.
Hi Sylvia! It’ll freeze solid but if you remove it for a bit prior to scooping, it’ll soften back up.
Hey, I want to make this for a relative who can’t have much sugar. Is there anything I can do to reduce the sugar?
You can leave out the honey!
Can you use a blender instead of a food processor?
Definitely! You’ll just need to scrape down the sides more.
Brilliant recipe I used 2 cups strawberries and 2 cups banana to make a mixed berries flavour and It tastes amazing
Yum! Thrilled you enjoyed the recipe, Joshua!
I linked here from a list of low-carb desserts and 27 is too high for me. I wonder if the strawberries on their own, without the honey, could be sweet enough?
You can definitely omit the honey, Cynthia!
Mad early this with Greeks yogurt. Just added a little vanilla to it. Incredible.
So glad you enjoyed it, Tracee!
how much servings does this recipe make
This recipe yields 4 servings. Enjoy!
I have made a version of this nightly with various frozen fruit and only 1 tblsp of agave and added 2 tblsp of chia seeds to get a boost of fiber with it and if you let it sit for 10 mins or freezer for a bit, the chias open and are not hard seeds and they still look like strawberry seeds (if you need to sneak it in for kids.)
This is delicious!
So glad you’re enjoying the recipe, JK! Love the addition of chia seeds!
Would this still turn out right if I substituted Stevia or another artificial sweetener for the honey?
Definitely!
Taste greatp
Hello Kelly! Thankyou for this amazing recipe. Is The honey a key ingredient? Would the recipe be alright without the honey added?
You can definitely omit the honey!
This sounds great can you use other fruit like peaches or mixed berries, or strawberries & bananas?
Absolutely!
Is there a way to figure out serving size/ calories per serving?
Hi Alaina! We’re working on providing nutritional information for our recipes. Stay tuned!
We make ice cream all the time with just frozen fruit. Frozen over ripe bananas make the best ice cream. When we make strawberry ice cream (which comes out more like sherbet) we let the strawberries get nice and dark before freezing so they are sweeter and then add some frozen peaches for added sweetness when blending. Heaven! If we want to make it more like frozen yogurt or ice cream we’ll add frozen vanilla yogurt squares. I freeze them in ice cube trays, or sometimes I get the organic yogurt in tubes and freeze those and use them. Adding yogurt that’s frozen makes the ice cream, or I guess frozen yogurt, thicker after blending.
Great tips, Lana!
Hey Kelly,
I was just wondering if this cool fro-yo dessert would you know, become a whole block of ice once placed more than 24hrs in the freezer? Not to say that yours would but this is just a nasty past experience of mine… I had to re-thaw the ice block and reblend it again… So, how do you actually prevent this?
Hi Charlotte! Yes, it’ll freeze solid but if you remove it for a bit prior to scooping, it’ll soften back up without needing to be re-blended. Enjoy!
Do I need to use pulse to chop or what setting on my processor do I use when mixing the ingredients together?
Just blend on the normal setting!
I don’t have a food processor. Can I use a blender instead?
That should work! You’ll just need to scrape down the sides more frequently.
Do you have any recipe for homemade yogurt? Thanks.
Hi Victoria! I don’t have a recipe for homemade yogurt but I’ll add it to my recipe development list!
One whole month ???? As in 30 days in the freezer
If stored properly, yes!
The yogurt is very refreshing and sweet. My girl really likes it. Thank you for your idea
You are so welcome, Jennifer! So glad you enjoyed the recipe :)
sign me up please
Adding you now! Thanks for your readership, Lou :)
Do you think a ninja would work? I don’t have a food processor.
Hi Heather! That should work but you’ll likely have to scrape down the sides more frequently. Enjoy :)
Can I substitute Greek yogurt for the regular? This looks so good!
Absolutely!
What kind of food processor do you use? I don’t want to spend a fortune on one and the ones I’ve seen within my budget range can’t blend ice/frozen fruits :(
Hi Crystal! My favorite is the KitchenAid Pro Line Series Food Processor. It’s a bit pricey but it’s absolutely spectacular and will blend anything!
Instead of using plain yogurt, could I use vanilla yogurt & leave out the sugar?
Definitely!
Some people forget to say thank you – geesh!! Thank you so much for posting this, looks delicious.
Thank you, Christina! :)
This recipe was on the list of low carb desserts and yet it doesn’t give the number of carbs per serving! I guess I could look up the carb counts for each ingredient and divide by the number of servings, but honestly isn’t it intuitive to give the carb count for a low carb recipe?!
Hi Karen – I’m not sure what list you are referring to. However, we are working on providing nutritional information for our recipes. Thank you for your patience.
I, TOO, HAVE DIABETES, & WOULD APPRECIATE ANY EASY LOW CARB MEALS & SUCH.
THANKS IN ADVANCE, PAM
We’re working on providing nutritional information for our recipes, Pam. Stay tuned!
I made these into popsicles and it was delish. Thanks for the recipe.
Awesome! Thrilled you enjoyed the recipe, Samantha :)
how many calories in this recipe
Hi Elsie! We’re working on providing nutritional info for our recipes. Stay tuned!
Hi thanks for the recipe really liked it and can I make banana yogurt too like this
Absolutely, Anam! So glad you enjoyed the recipe :)
Hi there! I’m an overwhelmed Mom to a my youngest daughters food allergies and little treats she can eat like her brother and sister. I’ve always only let the older two eat something she can’t have while she isn’t with them. But, what are your thoughts on substituting dairy free yogurt’s? My daughters only 4 and can’t have milk, nuts or eggs…its so tough.
Thanks so much!
Hi Rebecca! I haven’t tried this recipe with dairy free yogurt, but it should work. Let me know if you give it a shot, I’d love to hear if your daughter enjoyed it!
how long is it needed to freeze on freezer? does it take an hours to freeze it?
Hi Ella! If you use frozen strawberries you can serve it immediately as it should already be the desired consistency. Extras can be stored in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 month. Hope that helps!
Daughter has diabetes. Need lots of easy low carb meals and desserts
Very delicious! Next I will let my strawberries thaw just a bit before throwing them in the processor. They were so frozen it took forever to blend lol.
Can one use a hand beater as I don’t have a processor.
Hi there, Nannette! I wouldn’t recommend using a hand beater as it won’t be able to crush and blend the frozen fruit. However, a blender could work.
hi! does anything change if I used fresh fruit and yogurt and then I frozen it? how long it last the fray in my freezer
Hi Delfi – Frozen fruit is essential in this recipe to reach the desired consistency. Using fresh fruit will result in a less creamy and very thin texture. The frozen yogurt will last up to 1 month when stored properly in an airtight container in the freezer.
it gives the answer to your question in Kelly’s notes below the recipe.
“Fresh strawberries can be used in place of frozen, however the fresh strawberries must be frozen solid.”
Just put your strawberries in the freezer in an airtight container (a zip lock freezer bag will do). Depending on your freezer may be ready in a few hours but certainly overnight. Hope this helps. Bill
This looks delicious & I can’t wait to make it but yes, I’d like to get an idea on the nutritional facts also. Thanks!
Thanks, Bethzy! Stay tuned for nutritional information!
Could I have the nutritional information? More specifically the carb content? Thanks.
Hi Pamela! We’re working on adding nutritional information to our recipes. Stay tuned!
This looks delish! Does freezing the yogurt improve the consistency?
Hi Danielle! Do you mean before you blend the ingredients together? Because there’s no need to freeze the yogurt, just make sure to use frozen fruit. Hope that helps!
Can this recipe be interchanged with other fruit? Say the same amount of frozen blackberries or raspberries?
Absolutely, Elysia!
Love this recipe
Thanks so much, Anne!
I just made this with 2c strawberries and 2c mango but thawed them, ran through the blender then in the ice cream maker for about 15 minutes. It came out perfect!
Why do the fresh berries have to be frozen? Would it not freeze correctly if I use unfrozen fresh? I don’t have a blender or food processor. I was wondering if I could do it in my kitchen aide mixer..
Hi there, Jessica – Frozen fruit is essential in this recipe to reach the desired consistency. Using unfrozen fruit will result in a less creamy and very thin texture.
can this be made in a blender? I don’t have a food processor :( lol
Hi Niyah! That should work but you’ll likely have to scrape down the sides more frequently.
Thank you
hi can you use other fruit intend of strawberries
Definitely! Any other fruit works as long as it’s frozen :)
Could you make this recipe in the Vitamix?
That should work but you’ll likely just have to scrape down the sides more frequently.
This was amazing–the whole family loved it! (Which is rare).
I have a diary allergy – do you this this would work with Silk – non diary yogurt?
It should!
Can you provide me with a carb count
Hi there! We are working on adding nutritional info to our recipes. Stay tuned!
Made this tonight, put into 6 ice lolly mounds, froze them, and had a small portion left which I had to eat! Delish!
Do you have carb count. I am diabetic. Please
Hi Anne! We’re working on adding nutritional info to the site. Stay tuned!
I had enough strawberries to do almost 2 batches so I supplemented with some blueberries I had on hand. I also used plain Greek yogurt, then mixed the two batches together. For the sugar-lovers out there, including myself, I added some semi-sweet chocolate chip mini-morsels. Delicious!
Sounds delicious ! ….. Any idea of calorie count ? …..
We are working on providing calorie counts for our recipes. Stay tuned!
Instead of using plain yogurt can I use strawberry flavored Greek yogurt
Definitely!
Oh wow! Yum! Just made with 1 cup blackberries and honey. This is delish! Thanks for the recipe!
So glad you enjoyed it!
I’ll be making this tomorrow right after I pick up a dairy free yogurt. I’m going to play with using maple syrup since I get way more than I ever use for free every year. Since I’m single and live alone I’ll freeze these as individual portions for a great snack that will satisfy my sweet tooth as I try and loose weight. Thanks
This sounds great! I too don’t have a food processor. Has anyone tried to make it using the magic bullet with a smaller amount maybe?
Let me know if it worked. Thanks
What is the serving size for this recipe?
Hi there! This makes 4 servings.
Oh my! I made this with blueberries and lime juice because that’s what I had. It’s delicious.
I just made this with my friends and it is delicious! Thanks for that amazing recipe.
Would I be able to use a blander instead of a food processor?or no
A blender should work, Sabby! You may just have to scrape down the sides more frequently.
I prefer tangy/sour desserts. I would omit the honey probably. Could this be made with plain greek yogurt?
Absolutely! You can use whatever yogurt flavor/type you prefer.
Can it be stored in the freezer?
Definitely!
This recipe sounds wonderful, will make it for the grandkids this summer. However, I think that the suggestion of using Agave syrup should be removed, since it has been proven to be very bad for our health.
Is it possible to use coconut yogurt? My grandson is dairy free.
That should work, Dianne!
Hi I’m doing a project and I wanted to know if ur frozen yogurt can server 16 people? The serving size of the food I’m giving is not that big. So should I double the recipe or what? Thansk
Hi Ivy! It totally depends on how much you want to serve each person, however the recipe can be easily doubled (or made in two batches).
Love the recipes.
Hi, can this be made using a blender instead?
That should work based on others’ comments above!
I’ve heard that soft tofu can be used for non-dairy
Has anyone tried with Tofu? Dairy products wreck havoc on my immune system.
I’ve made something very similar to this with frozen peaches and almond milk. You could try that or maybe soy or coconut. None of them are dairy, technically. Also used a blender and it came out fine. Hope this helps.
Hi, are the strawberry still frozen? No need to process the mixture into an ice cream machine?
Correct! This does not go into an ice cream machine.
Could you use other fruits for that recipe?
Absolutely, Danica!
This frozen yogurt is fantastic!! I made mine with Greek yogurt so I added a bit more honey at the end. What a great way to crave my sweet tooth, and have all natural ice cream (no added preservatives or chemicals). Mine wasn’t extremely firm, but I suspect that will change for the remaining servings I put in a container and have in the freezer. Thanks for sharing this recipe.
So glad you enjoyed the recipe, Meribeth!
Can Greek yogurt be used in this recipe?
Yes!
That looks absolutely amazing! What a pretty color – and 5 minutes?? It’s wintertime but I kind of want to make this now…is that weird?
Not at all! I make it year-round :)
outstanding!

A nice idea and easy to make. I used frozen raspberries and it worked well. Saved my diet tonight when else everyone was eating ice cream.
I was looking for a recipe for frozen yogurt that used honey or agave and didn’t require an ice cream machine. Perfect to add to my Genotype Teacher and Blood Type A boards on Pinterest to share with others. Going to make this when I get more honey.
would it make a difference if I used a blender instead of a food processor?
Hi Serina! I haven’t tried making this recipe with a blender but several readers have told me that it works :)
We just made this and it is so good! I never would have thought to use frozen fruit. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome! So glad you enjoyed it!
I LOVE THIS! I made this for my son’s first birthday party and used stevia simple syrup to sweeten it a little. It was a BIG hit! Thanks so much!
A fantastic summer treat! Works great with raspberries, too :)
I also don’t have a food processor but a blender, and it worked fine like this:
blend the berries and honey/syrup with only half of the yogurt until smooth (and liquid-y), then transfer to a freezer-safe bowl and gently whisk in the rest of the yogurt. Then pop it in the freezer for about 15 min. Awesomely creamy! :)
What did I do wrong? Tried to make strawberry frozen yogurt. Used my food processor for the 1st time. After 5 min it was liquid not creamy.
Hi Kesha – Did you use frozen strawberries?
I love how easy this is – I’ve made similar desserts before by freezing bananas but somehow I’d never thought to do the same with strawberries.
This is a great recipe.Just one question:Is the lemon juice used just for flavor or it’s for another purpose as well?
Just for flavor, so feel free to leave it out!
Simple and healthy!
Thanks much for sharing this recipe. Prepped it this morning for an afternoon delight with my grandson….love the freshness of it!
This looks yummy – since you said you like more tart, did you try it with Greek yogurt? I may…
thanks for all the recipes!
Yes, I tried it with Greek yogurt and it was awesome! Hope you enjoy the recipe, Charlotte :)
Made this for my mom (who loves snacking on sweet treats but has never found a liking for “the healthy kind”) and of course myself. The consistency that resulted from the frozen strawberries was perfect. My mom & I are so grateful to have found this recipe!
Ps: We are going to experiment with some more yummy fruits like mango!
Oh my gosh. I just made this, I used frozen mixed berries, cause that is all I had and this was DELICIOUS. I can’t wait to make it again, will need to get more berries. Wonder if 10:49 pm is too late to head to the store?
Awesome! So glad you enjoyed it, Shana!
i saw your recipe and since I had all the ingredients on hand, stopped and immediately mixed it up. I used Greek yogurt and it’s delicious. Thank you for sharing.
Awesome! So glad you enjoyed it!
Just made this with frozen mangoes, great recipe! :)
I added lime juice instead of lemon and lime flavored yogurt. Makes it taste like a strawberry margarita.
I just made this with greek yogurt and it turned out AMAZING!
imagine this with frozen peaches!! :o
Hi Carol! I have a 5-Minute Healthy Frozen Peach Yogurt recipe, too! :) Here’s the recipe: https://www.justataste.com/2013/08/healthy-easy-peach-frozen-yogurt-recipe/
I’m someone who has trouble with milk products so if you find a brand that makes dairy free yogurt would you please email me at lmab1984@gmail.com
Hi, this looks SO good! I can’t wait to try it. I was wondering if I could use this recipe for a strawberry recipe round-up I’m doing? I would be using a photo only and linking back to this post for the recipe. Thanks!
Thanks, Brittany! Yes, you may feature a photo of the recipe with a link back.
Thank you so much, Kelly. I love frozen yogurt and this recipe allowed me to enjoy my favorite dessert that is healthy, as well as low in calories. I can’t wait to make a batch for my wife and son to try it. I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate you sharing this recipe with us =)
This is SO yummy! I made it with lime juice and I am in love! Thanks for the great recipe!
I LOVE this!!! I have a real sweet tooth and I’m trying to be more careful with how much sugar I eat. My husband and I are eating this right now and love it! It satisfies my craving without the calories.
The color attracted me also. So many delicious strawberries! My husband’s favorite ‘flavor’ in ‘ice cream’ – and this recipe received his stamp of approval-A SECOND HELPING! Recently we went to a place that had ‘Gerson; therapy, which is also good for other ‘incurable’ illnesses, and found out that we needed to be on a mainly ‘vegetarian/organic DIET for some of that ails my husband, and to find this recipe, sugar free, etc. besides organic, was an answer to our prayers!
So glad you enjoyed the recipe, Ruth!
I made this and I absolutely loved it. You can also make Popsicles out of this which tasted great also.
Great idea, Emily!
Please how many calories ??
Hi Zeina – I don’t provide calorie counts for any of my recipes because I am not a certified nutritionist.
Wow nice idea
I love this easy recipe… i don’t have a food prosecor so i used a Hamilton beach blender….. IT WAS SO HARD TO MIX (because its a blender that probably needs liquids… so the ninja blender works as said in the comments. but the Hamilton beach blender is a no no! :) This is still a very easy and good recipe!
I just tried this with some changes. I made mine with a cup of yogurt, strawberries, bananas, & a tbsp of agave syrup. I blended until smooth, and then I added them to candy molds & froze them. They were ridicously good. I swear they were the best yogurt I have EVER eaten! Thank you so much for sharing!
I just made this, but I divided it by four to get a single serving…IT WAS FREAKING AWESOME!! This recipe is definitely a keeper.
Looks so good
This is a great idea for buying strawberries before the price goes up and freeze them for this.. would be great for taking on a beach trip. will try!!
I have made this twice now and it’s been great both times! First time with the strawberries. Tonight with frozen sweet dark cherries, OMG, so good! Did add any sweetner b/c the cherries were sweet enough. Thank you for sharing this GREAT and healthy recipe!
I found this on Pinterest and I’m so glad you watermarked you pics! When I tried to check it out from the pin, Pinterest blocked the site as unsafe. Saw your watermark and hopped right over here! Looks delicious! I’ll definitely be trying this with my kids!
just made this today using fresh frozen strawberries and vanilla yogurt, did a taste test and omg it is amazing, thank you sooooo much for the recipe :D
This looks amazing, but can someone give me how many calories per serving?
Hi Aymee – I am not a nutritionist, so I am unable to provide calorie counts for any of my recipes.
Just made something similar to this an hour ago! However, it only requires 2 ingredients and soy milk! I used a combination of frozen strawberries, mango, pineapple, ect. & eyed about a third of a cup of light vanilla silk soy milk! Just process your frozen fruits in a processor, I use a Ninja, for about 3 minutes, then add in some soy milk and process for about 3 more minutes! Delicious!
this looks DELISH!!!! Just wondering if I could sub the honey for maple syrup?
Definitely, Nicole! Enjoy :)
thank you for posting this recipe! I used your guidelines to make frozen yogurt with the fruit I had on hand: 4 cups of frozen raspberries and banana. It turned out FANTASTIC! I cannot wait to try your peach version soon! Thanks again!
WOW! This looks so delicious! And I seriously can’t believe it only has 4 ingredients! I definitely need to try this before summer is done!
I make frozen yogurt all the time in my Ninja blender with one cup of frozen no sugar added fruit, half cup of Greek plain yogurt, and 2 packets of Stevia. (No need to use agave or honey which only raises blood sugar and adds unnecessary calories.)
I just shared this recipe on my “Weekly Round-up” series of top recipe finds! This week was all about strawberries, so I knew this was a must add. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful recipe with us!
I just made your recipe using 1 cup frozen mango, 1 cup frozen pineapple and 1/2 cup soy yogurt. It came out super delicious. Thanks for the great recipe
Healthy ice cream?!?! YES! Definitely trying this.
I made two batches last night with my 4yo. One with strawberries, and one with mangos. They both turned out amazing! I froze half as strawberry/mango popsicles, and the left overs for me.
This looks delicious and I’d love to give it a try. Would I need to use Agave Nectar or could any honey work?
Any honey or other sweetener will work!
Tip for soft ice cream/froyo:
For this particular recipe, after making it & placing it in an airtight storage container, place the sealed container inside a large Ziploc freezer bag. It’ll keep this awesome dessert ready-to-eat at all times!
You can do the same with store-bought or homemade ice cream & yogurt. Just place the container/carton in a freezer bag before putting it in the freezer.
Loved this recipe! Good for hot summer days when you want to do nothing but stay inside with the AC on. Very simple, straightforward and easy!
Yay! I have a little guy that’s cutting weight right now. Always looking for new fruit treats for him. I was hoping my Ninja would work! And we only let him have Greek yogurt! Thank you for posting!!!
I just tried to make this delicious looking desert, however it came out much more liquidy than its suppose to be. The only difference I made was using a blender, could that be the problem?
Hi Melinda – Yes, that is definitely the reason. While some people have made this recipe successfully using a blender, I’ve only ever tried it with a food processor. You can still try freezing what you’ve made, or grab a straw turn it into a smoothie!
I freeze vanilla yogurt in an ice cube tray and run frozen strawberries and the yogurt cubes through my champion juicer with the blank plate. No sweetener or other flavorings needed. It’s delicious and so refreshing. My alternate flavor is made with frozen pineapple cubes.
Hi! Thanks for the recipe, I just made a video on how to make DIY strawberry frozen yogurt & i would love if you could check it out :)
I just made this and, YUM! It is SO very delicious. Thanks for sharing.
Woohoo! Thanks, Erika :)
This was very good and super easy to make. Thanks for the recipe!
Awesome! So glad you enjoyed it, Stephanie!
This looks great! Could Stevia or Splenda work with this recipe? I have diabetes. Thank you.
Absolutely, Cynthia! Feel free to swap in your preferred sweetener. Enjoy!
Can you use a dairy free milk option instead of regular dairy milk. This looks so good. Both my mom and I are sensitive to dairy and always try and look for dairy free options that are healthy
I am looking to make this recipe for about 30 kids. The recipe says 4 servings, but curious how big is a serving? Thanks!
My sons and I just made this! So delicious! We bought fresh strawberries on sale and froze them. The only thing I will change next time is to cut the strawberries in half before I freeze them. Some were too large and took extra time in the food processor. Again , thank you for posting something so simple yet so richly delicious.
This looks awesome! I’m going to try it out this weekend.
Wow, Kelly, this frozen yogurt is just gorgeous and so simple. Sounds delightful.
WOW, just made this recipe. It is DELICIOUS!!!!! It put strawberries and peaches and vanilla yogurt (instead of plain yogurt). Thanks :)
Just made this with greek yogurt and my ninja blender and both worked out fantastically! Excited to make this again! Thank you!
This is soooo simple and delicious! I switched it up a little and made it with vanilla yogurt, strawberries, and blueberries for a tart twist. I will definitely be making this again (in the very near future)! Thanks for sharing :)
I made this and it was FANTASTIC! I can’t wait to continue whipping it up all summer. Thanks for a wonderful recipe!!
This looks delicious. I don’t have a food processor. Would a blender work??
Hi Christie! I’ve never tried this recipe with a blender so I can’t say for certain if it would work. But let me know if you try it!
These are stunning and we use them liberally in our family. We use this recipe also as a snack for our dieting group and it really works with weight loss. Strawberries are great for the body and when used in a science based diet it causes great fat loss of the belly.
This looks delicious! Can you use maple syrup instead of honey or agave?
Thanks Olivia! I’ve never tried this recipe with maple syrup, but I don’t see why not!
Looks amazing!! I’m going to have to try it when family comes next week. Do you think the consistency will change a lot if I do it with Greek yogurt?
Hi Amelia! I’ve never made this recipe with Greek yogurt, so I can’t say for certainty how the texture will be affected, but I think it’d still turn out great!
Just made this yesterday and it was delish! Do you recommend storing in the refrigerator or freezer? We wanted to try the freezer out but it of course became solid as a rock. Any tips for preventing this? Great recipe!!!
Sp glad you enjoyed the recipe, Kristen! I always store it in the freezer and then leave it out for about 20 minutes to give it a chance to soften up slightly before serving it.
My child is allergic to milk products. Any idea how I could McCaskey this for him?! My wife and I tried the receipt and LOVED it!!!
Hi Grant! So glad your wife enjoyed the recipe! Could you just swap in a diary-free yogurt?
Is a blender the same thing as a food processor. ..I dont think 4 cups would fit into my processor, my blender would fit that though.
This sounds super yummy! I love recipes with only a few ingredients, and looooove frozen yogurt, so i’m definitely going to need to try this asap! The photos are so beautiful and brings, makes me want some right now!
Me and my girls just made this, sooooooo yummy. My girls couldn’t believe how simple it was to make and will be making this all summer long. Can’t wait to try different fruit combinations and placing some in Popsicle molds. Thank you for a wonderful recipe.
Awesome! So glad you’re enjoying the recipe, Christine!
I made this with strawberries, blueberries, and peaches (all the ends of the bags of frozen fruit.) It is delicious! I double it and then put it into the container of the frozen yogurt we just finished! Will definitely make again! I added some vanilla and 1-2 extra tablespoons of honey.
Looks awesome, can’t wait to try it out!
Note for other readers — you can freeze your own fresh strawberries in a way that doesn’t get them frozen together in a huge chunk by prepping them (remove stems, cut in half if large) and putting them in old ice cube trays!
I didn’t have strawberries so I did raspberry and mango. Oh my heaven! So good. Thanks for the recipe.
I just made this and it is delicious. My hubby and I have a new summer treat. Thanks
This is so pretty! And I adore the ease of making it!
Can you use Greek Yogurt?
I LOVE how simple frozen yogurt recipes are! Love how tasty this looks.
This with a waffle…can I start every day like that? This looks lovely!
lt looks good l love the colour also
I can just imagine how incredible this tastes. Bring on summer!
What a gorgeous color, love this guilt-free treat!
This would be the perfect dessert for hot summer days! And even cold spring days like today :)
Gorgeous! Love how easy this is!
Such a pretty color! This looks awesome!
Healthy fro-yo in 5 minutes….I’m all over it! Love this!
Mmm I picked a ton of strawberries on monday. This would be a great way to use some!
5 minutes?! I am SO down! This looks great too! I love the colour :)
Beautiful, Kelly! Love these easy frozen desserts from you. :) Pinning!
I just made something very similar to this! Looks like we both have summer treats on the brain : )
That looks so delicious and easy to make, I’m definitely going to try this!
Oh my goodness, thank you for publishing this. I am following a really low-fat/nonfat diet (who isn’t, I know) and I cannot eat enough frozen nonfat yogurt as a treat. I can’t wait to make this (and make it my own with variations). Thank you!
That looks amazing! I love the bright color :-)
