Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip

Skip the eggs and free up valuable oven space with no-bake Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip! RECIPE: http://bit.ly/2yL5VTi

I’m on a serious dessert dip kick lately, and what better way to follow up last week’s peanut butter cup s’mores dip than with a no-bake take on everyone’s favorite cookie? Ditch the eggs and skip the stove with this recipe for easy, creamy Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip.

There’s good news, and there’s bad news. The good news is this cookie dough dip takes only 5 minutes to make. The bad news is you may be forced to share it with others.

And much like the secret ingredient chocolate chip cookies that inspired this recipe, you will not be subscribing to the sharing-is-caring mentality after you get a taste of this creamy confection. So go on and grab the oversize bag of pretzels and let the dipping and dunking begin!

Ingredients You’ll Need

This cookie dip is made without flour or eggs for a gluten-free and totally safe to eat cookie dough that’s irresistible. Grab these ingredients to make this 5-minute dessert recipe:

Glass bowls containing ingredients for cookie dough dip, including vanilla extract, butter, sugar, salt, brown sugar, cream cheese and chocolate chips.
  • Butter and cream cheese: You’ll want these ingredients chilled so the dip doesn’t get too soft. Use full-fat block cream cheese for the perfect creamy consistency.
  • Sugars: You’ll need both granulated and brown sugar for this recipe to give it that classic cookie flavor.
  • Vanilla extract: Use pure vanilla for the best flavor. You can also use DIY vanilla extract!
  • Chocolate chips: I prefer semisweet chocolate chips but any variety will work in this recipe, including mini chocolate chips and chocolate chunks.

See the recipe card for full information on ingredients and quantities.

For the best texture and creamiest consistency, I recommend using a handheld mixer or stand mixer for this sweet cream cheese dip. Don’t have either one in your kitchen? No problem! Just grab the sturdiest spatula you have and get ready to stir.

  1. Cream together the butter, cream cheese and sugars. Keep mixing until you reach a smooth and creamy texture.
  2. Add the vanilla and salt. Mix just until combined
  3. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  1. Serve and enjoy! Transfer the cookie dough dip to a serving bowl and place it on a platter surrounded by pretzels or fresh fruit for dipping.

Recipe Tips

  • If you prefer a sweeter dip, halve the cream cheese amount or add additional sugar until you reach your desired level of sweetness.
  • You could also add chopped nuts if you want a little bit more crunch.
  • If your dip seems thin, pop it in the fridge for an hour or two and it’ll firm up perfectly for dipping.
  • Make it ahead! This party dip can be made up to 2 days in advance. Store it in an airtight container in the fridge then give it a good stir before serving.

What Do I Serve with This?

When it comes to serving chocolate chip cookie dough dip, the possibilities are endless and oh-so-delicious. Here are some of my favorite dippables that perfectly complement the creamy, sweet goodness of this dessert dip:

  • Graham crackers
  • Pretzels
  • Fresh fruit (strawberries and apple slices are my favorite)
  • Potato chips (trust me, this combo is insane!)

  2. Courtney says:

If the cream cheese taste is too much, what should we add for sugar and brown sugar to keep the ratio somewhat equal?

    1. Kelly Senyei says:

Hi Courtney! You can add 1 additional tablespoon at a time until it reaches your desired sweetness.

I made it according to directions and it was very thin .. I do live in Alabama and it’s hot lol
Any suggestions on ingredients… Cut back on one thing add a little bit more of another (maybe cream cheese?)

      2. Kelly Senyei says:

Hi Rebecca – I’ve never experienced that before. Did you use block cream cheese or whipped cream cheese from a tub?

I made this for my cheer team, and they have been asking me for weeks to make it again. It was super easy to put together. I used mini chocolate chips and served it with Nilla Wafers and animal crackers in addition to the pretzels. Delicious!

    1. Kelly Senyei says:

LOVE reading this, Kelly! I’m so happy you and your cheer team enjoyed the dip!

  7. Emily says:

I made this dip for a little get together and it was a hit! I used a handheld mixer and creamed butter & cream cheese first really well.

One suggestion would be to lighten up on the vanilla. I only put in 1.5 teaspoons and some thought it was too vanilla flavored. Maybe start lower then add more to taste!

    1. Kelly Senyei says:

Thanks so much for your note, Emily! I’m thrilled you enjoyed the recipe!

  8. Sue says:

    5 stars
Really easy to put together. I chose both strawberries and pretzels for dipping. Everyone loved it!

    1. Kelly Senyei says:

  9. Sophie says:

I don’t have a stand mixer – what do you recommend?

    1. Kelly Senyei says:

Hi Sophie! A handheld mixer will work great, or if need be, a very sturdy spatula. :)

This definitely doesn’t taste anything like cookie dough, not even a hint but it was still yummy after i got over it not tasting like what i thought it would taste like. very heavy on cream cheese flavor but hubby liked it so ill make it again, just might try adding something to make it a tad sweeter maybe?

    1. Kelly Senyei says:

Hi Jennifer – You could try adding additional sugar or halving the cream cheese amount to make it sweeter. Let me know if you give it a shot!
